Disaster Pouch - Heavy Duty 6 Handle

 Product Features:

  • Suitable for safe and environmentally friendly recovery and transport of infectious human remains directly to cremation. Suitable for use in Ebola and other infectious disease scenarios.  Packed with shroud to wrap deceased remains prior to transfer to the pouch.
  • Outer Pouch: 12 mil (304 micron) HD “Super-Tuff” LD polyethylene coated woven hi density scrim material. Exceeds tensile strength, tear resistance and puncture resistance of 16 mil thick vinyl resulting in a virtually tear resistant product in normal use. Silver color to reflect suns rays to maintain cooler interior temperature. Eliminates possible leakage in the event either the inner liner or the outer pouch is punctured or breached.
  • Inner Pouch: 10 mil (250 micron) HD “Super-Tuff” LD polyethylene coated woven hi density scrim material. Exceeds tensile strength, tear resistance and puncture resistance of 14 mil thick vinyl resulting in a virtually tear resistant product in normal use (blue color for forensic photos without removing remains from the pouch)
  • End seams are folded, sewn and sealed for strength and protection against possible leakage and to comply with OSHA Regulation 3130 involving containment of body fluids.
  • 6 handles of 2” wide 16pt 1,000 lb test heavy duty polypropylene webbing riveted to the outer shell and reinforced with zinc plated washers. This will allow transport by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 individuals – static lift tested to 450 lbs (204 Kg).
  • Will not deteriorate or mildew under normal conditions. Impervious to blood and normal body fluids.
  • Shelf life in excess of 10 years. Will not become brittle during extended storage under normal environmental conditions.
  • Meets EPA chlorine free burn requirements for incineration type of disposal. Infectious disease remains can be cremated without transfer to another chlorine free pouch there by reducing exposure to handling personnel.
